LDRs
Leadership Development Requirements (LDRs) provide added insight to aerospace or leadership experiences. Participation in these activities will increase your chance of promotion and impact corps position selection. The purpose of co curricular activities within the cadet squadron is to promote interest in
JROTC and provide the opportunity to become more involved in the school and community.
Color Guard
Rocketry Team
A group of select cadets who present and post the Colors at formal and informal events, compete in competitions, and participate in parades. This elite group will help to spread awareness of Jensen Beach High School’s AFJROTC and patriotism on a local, state, and national level.
Model Airplane Club
This team meets weekly to build model airplanes. Cadets can compete in competitions if desired.
Strategic Gaming Club
This club allows cadets to play strategy games in a relaxed environment. Games and meeting times are chosen by the participating cadets.
Morale team
This team makes sure that JROTC cadets have a positive experience in JROTC. They recognize cadets birthdays and decorate the classroom for different holiday seasons, among other activities in order to promote esprit de corps.
This team is focused on building a rocket for each member. Once built, the team will then launch the rockets.
Drill Team
A formal group of select cadets that join together to polish and refine the complicated skills of military drill. The Drill Team can attend local drill meets, and parades.
Robotics Team
This team will use the robotics kits to build some robots. To earn a ribbon, a member must attend at least 8 meetings and contribute to building a successful robot.
Fitness team
Intense wellness training conducted prior to or at the end of the school day. Active participation results in the award of the Activities Ribbon.
Drone Club
This Club is meant to teach cadets the basics of flying drones, and later on learning a few tricks.
